Welcome to the official blog of the state highpoint tequila team

We have started this blog to keep all interested parties apprised of the progress of our quest to shoot tequila all around the country.  State highpointing is a fairly common (if not slightly nerdy) activity undertaken by many people around the country.  In order to distinguish ourselves from the normal highpoint masses, we added the tequila bit.  State highpoints range from simple drives in many states to a full scale mountaineering expedition atop the highest mountain on the continent and everything in between.  In total there are 308,105 total feet of elevation to conquer.  We will use the percentage of this climbed as our completion percentage since the states vary widely in degree of difficulty.  Here you will find individual trip reports from each member of the team as we complete different states as well as photographs.  As of this writing, Texas has been completed and we will work to get that report posted in the near future. Additionally, we will post information on upcoming expeditions and the preparations for them.  We will answer any questions you may have as well.
